The debate regarding the greatest of all time is an unending argument, when these two greats lock horns the world divides into two. They are much close to each other, yet some factors differenciates them. While Messi is better than Ronaldo in some cases, they are handful of reasons why Ronaldo is far better than Messi.
1. He is more determined
The key to success is embedded not only with talent and hardwork. Grit and determination plays a pivotal role in shaping the road to success. Simply put, the basic difference between Ronaldo and Messi lies in their mentality. While Messi is a genius in the field he kicks the fighters spirit. While Messi is a talent inborn, Ronaldo is a beast unleashed.
His determination to keep healthy and physically fit has driven sports scientist.
2. More international success
In the international level, Messi is way behind Ronaldo, be it in goals tally, contribution to the team or winning silverware. Withe more than a century of goals, Ronaldo is short of becoming the highest international scorer.
3. Ronaldo is a more complete player
Undoubtedly Messi is Skillful, however if we combine athleticism, strength, durability along with skill set, Ronaldo sails ahead of Messi. Being a complete player is one fundamental principal in modern day football.
4. Playing and excelling in different leagues
Ronaldo calls for challenges, while Messi runs away from it. Messi’s loyalty to Barcelona is commendable, however it is an indication that he is not looking for new opportunities. Journey from Sporting Cp to Juventus through Realmadrid and Manchester United were new challenges, new obstacles and success, while for Messi it is the same old thing, over and over again.
If coming out of confort zone and excelling is an art, then Ronaldo is the artist and Messi is the escapist who avoids venture into roads untraveled.
5. Ronaldo is building a legacy
He built a legacy far more supreme than Messi, they are both loved globally, but the philanthropic activities of Ronaldo edges that of Messi. He contributes to relief funds, children development for the betterment of the World. Apart from it, he donates blood and also support the cause of blood donations, which is the main reason why he has no tattoos till date.
